If there’s one thing any 6-year-old boy really wants for his birthday, it’s a nude pregnancy flashback photo of his mom posted on Instagram. Just kidding. But hey, as far as quasi-embarrassing mom moves go, this one is gorgeous.
January Jones was so delighted about her son Xander’s sixth birthday this week, she posted said photo in honor of his birth way back in the day. Please enjoy Betty Draper as a mermaid.

I mean, I would probably post this too if this were a photo of me. Most of us moms just buy crappy birthday cards at the drugstore at the last minute for our 6-year-olds. Oh, well.

On his fifth birthday last year, Jones posted a cute picture of her beaming (in darling retro pink glasses) and snuggling baby Xander. She captioned that one, “This one goes out to us my son.. 5yrs ago today I became whole because you came into this world.”

Clearly, Xander is the best dude in his mom’s life, and she’s more than OK with that. She’s never breathed a word of the identity of Xander’s father, and we’re doubting she will. Jones is thriving as a single mom — and not feeling the need to date, either.
“People want to set me up all the time and I’m like, ‘No way.’ If I meet someone and we go out, then fine, but I’m not going to go look,” she told Red magazine in its September issue. “The moment I see someone who I think is cute, I Google him and, oh, he’s 25, and I’m thinking, ‘What is my problem?!’”
January, there’s no problem at all. Keep on rocking single motherhood; it looks damn fine on you.
