Never one to mince her words, Mila Kunis just got candid about her kids. While promoting her new film, Bad Moms Christmas, she told Entertainment Tonight that she and husband Ashton Kutcher are making sure that daughter Wyatt, 2, and almost 1-year-old son Dimitri, grow up to be normal, civilized people — not assholes.
“Yeah, we’re not gonna raise assholes. There’s enough assholes in this world! We don’t need to contribute,” Kunis told ET. “But, you know, there’s some nice people.”
Are there, though? And anyway, how does she plan to preserve her kids’ innate kindness? Kunis told ET that during the holidays, she and Kutcher insist that gifts aren’t a priority. She explained that not only are the kids too young to remember receiving them, but also, holiday gifts don’t really matter. Wise words, lady. She added that the only gifts little Wyatt got last year were from her grandparents.

“We’ve told our parents, ‘We’re begging you — if you have to give her something, pick one gift. Otherwise, we’d like to take a charitable donation, to the Children’s Hospital or a pet [or] whatever you want,’” Kunis explained. “That’s our new tradition.”
She also said she prefers taking her tots to everyday things instead of high-glam celeb-filled functions. In fact, she says she and Kutcher have actually become experts on family-friendly activities around the globe. Hit her up, and she’ll be able to recommend the best zoos, her favorite libraries and even where to get a top-notch bouncy house. (Kunis added that this is a stark change from the clubs and restaurants she gave tips on in her former life.)

But it’s not all inflatable unicorns and rainbows. Kunis, like all parents, often deals with insecurity when it comes to her abilities as a mom. During an appearance on Today, she explained that she can relate to moms who feel the constant pressure to be perfect — and hopes to show that in Bad Moms and the film’s new sequel.
“I think Bad Moms one and two bring that to light,” she said. “What we truly go through for our kids and the pressure we as moms — we as women — put on ourselves.”
Rest easy, Mila. We think you’re doing just great — gift-less Hanukkahs and all. Because you’re right: There are enough assholes in this world, and the Kunis-Kutcher clan is thankfully not contributing to that surplus.
