Blake Lively Says She’s the Mom of a Game of Thrones Character

You might not have heard, but Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are raising a baby White Walker. Their daughter Ines just turned 1 — and according to Lively, the little princess rejected her mom’s homemade Cookie Monster birthday cake in favor of a blood-soaked steak. Lively charmingly recounted the gory birthday meal in perfect detail to Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show this weekend.

“I made a Cookie Monster cake, and it was so cute, and you shove cookies in his mouth, and they crumble, and she just looked at it and then reached for a steak. So she had a birthday steak, and then she grabs the other one, and she’s ham-fisting two steaks. I’ve given birth to a baby Viking. It’s like she’s a White Walker,” Lively said, cracking up Fallon. “Her sleeves were dripping in blood from the steak. I was like, ‘This child.'”
Lively and Reynolds have another daughter — James, age 2 — who’s also showing some Game of Thrones-level strength (as well as a little bit of sibling rivalry). Lively joked to Fallon that James will cuddle-squeeze her little sister like a boa constrictor: “She’s like, ‘Oh, I love her so much, but I’m actually really harming her right now.'”
Will the whole family be dressing as GoT characters for Halloween? No, but if 2-year-old James has her way, she and her sister will be going in very different directions, aesthetically speaking. James told Lively that she will be Cinderella — and her little sister will be Mike Wazowski (the green, single-eyed Billy Crystal-voiced character from Monsters, Inc.). Considering Lively and Reynolds’ shared sense of parenting humor, we’re guessing they will make the most of the mismatched pair for photo opps — but we’re still hoping they convince both daughters to go as White Walkers. There’s still time!
