Actor and singer Ricky Martin and his husband — Syrian-Swedish painter Jwan Yosef — are loving fatherhood. The couple is raising Martin’s 9-year-old twin boys, Valentino and Matteo — and unlike a lot of celebrity families, they have no desire to stay out of the spotlight… for one very important reason close to Martin’s heart.

Martin, the star of FX’s The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, spoke candidly about his take on family in a new interview in Out magazine. “A lot of people tell me, ‘Well, your kids are on the covers of magazines and blah, blah, blah,’ and I’m like, ‘Yes because I want to normalize this,’” Martin explained. “I want people to look at me and see a family and say, ‘There’s nothing wrong with that.’ It’s part of my mission.”
He continued, “It’s part of my kids’ mission as well. My kids ask me about having two daddies and I tell them we are a part of a modern family. This is a beautiful sense of freedom.” Preach, Ricky!
Will the couple have more kids? At Sunday’s Golden Globes, Martin hinted that the answer may be a big yes. “I want four more pairs of twins,” he enthused, as reported by People. “I would love to have a big family, but there’s a lot going on at this moment, a lot of work, wedding.”
Oh, and the family’s Beverly Hills home was featured recently in Architectural Digest (the cover story, no less).

Yep, fatherhood definitely agrees with Martin, who is obviously a natural (even when it comes to those early a.m. wake-up calls with the kids). Martin shared a super-sweet morning post of himself and his sons on Instagram back in June, captioned, “What a perfect way to wake up!!!! So much #pride ! Hab, vi saknar dig. Happy Pride everyone!!! #Pride2017 #gaypride #gaylove #gaylatino # #loveislove.” Tossing an “I miss you” in Swedish towards his hubby? Could these guys get any cuter?
