Reese Witherspoon and her daughter, Ava Phillippe, have always had a special bond. Aside from looking nearly identical, the two women have a shared passion for fashion, and they steadfastly support each other’s ambitions — such as Phillippe’s debutante ball and Witherspoon’s venture into the business world. Now, the darling duo is showing off their constant twinning in an official photo shoot for Witherspoon’s clothing and home decor brand, Draper James.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, both women are total naturals in front of the camera, though they often play very different roles. While Witherspoon continues to act and produce, Phillippe is on her way to becoming a breakout modeling star. According to Harper’s Bazaar, the fashionista is the newest addition to the Rodarte team.

The mother-daughter photos, taken to support the Draper James Spring 2018 collection, feature bold pinks and reds in Witherspoon’s/Draper James’ signature preppy style with playful lace patterns and quirky prints like hearts and arrows. The line is, of course, just in time for Valentine’s Day — and what better way to celebrate love than by gushing about your kid?
“From the time she could speak, Ava has always had her own ideas, and I love to watch her express herself,” Witherspoon said on Draper James’ blog, Love, Reese. “She also cares deeply about her family and the world around her. She frequently educates me on news stories and issues young women are facing.”

Witherspoon has been a staunch advocate for #TimesUp, the movement that calls for an end to injustices such as pay inequality, sexism and harassment. In addition to helping organize the all-black sartorial statement at the Golden Globes, Witherspoon has been vocal about her own experiences with sexual harassment and assault and is determined to make all working environments safer for women like her daughter. One of the ways she’s doing this is by demonstrating that women can indeed create, run, build and slay successful businesses — a message that’s not lost on Phillippe.
“I love being around my mom, and this shoot was an opportunity to have fun and support her work as a female entrepreneur,” Phillippe told Love, Reese. “She also brings a lot of comfort and positive energy with her to work, and I think it’s inspiring to see her personal relationships with everybody on set.”

Could Phillippe run her own business one day? Obv, especially since her mother and countless others are paving the way for women to (finally) rise to the top.
