Will Smith wears many hats — actor, producer, songwriter, husband, father… and, as it turns out, expert social media troll. His son, Jaden Smith, hit a major milestone when his album Syre reached 100 million streams on Spotify, and Will celebrated the occasion by recreating the music video for Jaden’s single “Icon.”
The hilarious video, which Will posted to Instagram on Tuesday night, is a shot-for-shot recreation of “Icon.” In it, he dons the same outfit as his son: a denim jacket, grills, a gold chain and blond hair. But there are a few minor changes. For example, Will wears slippers instead of black sneakers — and loses his grill mid-tune.

“J-diggy, I’m proud of you, baby,” Will said in the video. “One-hundred million streams. Congratulations, man. Hundred million. Congrats. I love you.”
Will also included a sweet caption: “Congrats on 100,000,000 @Spotify streams, Jaden! @c.syresmith It is a Delicious Gift to a Parent to Admire his children. Keep Doin’ You!”
Awww! Trolling has never been so sweet (or so oddly capitalized).

Jaden responded with an equally heartwarming comment on the Insta post. “Dad this is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen in my life you’re the best father anyone could ask for,” he wrote. “[T]hank you for allowing me to express myself even when I take it too far sometimes I love you more than you will ever know because you taught me how to love.”

Not all parents are exactly social media experts, but Will had a great teacher — none other than Ellen DeGeneres. After he joined Instagram in December, the talk show host taught Will all about the app, including how to take the perfect duck-face selfie. (Because, priorities.) As for the hilarious trolling? It looks like Big Willy learned that all on his own.
Leave it to Will Smith to made dad jokes cool.
