It sounds like Chrissy Teigen has the best friends in the world. Not that we’re surprised.
On Wednesday night, Teigen posted a series of photos and videos to her Snapchat and Instagram accounts exclaiming that some of her closest pals had invited her out for an unexpected — but, oh-so appreciated — baby shower in New York City.
“These are my best girlfriends on the planet,” she said in one video. “I have a surprise baby shower.”

Even sweeter than the video was the caption that accompanied it.
“Man. Ain’t nothin’ like girlfriends,” the chef and hamburger aficionado wrote. “Thank you for loving me back.”
If lavish, henna-tattoo filled fetes or incredibly graphic birthing cakes aren’t your things, fear not. Teigen’s gathering proves baby showers can be as casual as you please.

Teigen, who continues to be a source of #HairGoals inspiration for so many of us, is currently expecting her second child — a boy — with her husband, John Legend. Though People reports the all-star couple doesn’t have a name picked out for baby No. 2 just yet, they do know one thing: Their family has loads of travel ahead of them.
Teigen shared just a few of her destination ideas with SheKnows last August.
“I feel like there are a lot of places we want to go now that we’re just waiting for [Luna] to get a little bit older for,” she said. “For instance, we want to go to Kenya on a safari [or] South Africa once she learns all her animals. I want to take her to Thailand because, obviously, my mother’s from Thailand and I want her to visit her roots.”

Well, Teigen might have to wait just a little bit longer for those epic trips now that she’s expecting another newborn. Or maybe she’ll just tote little Urban Legend (that’s going to be his name, right??) along. Besides, Teigen also mentioned a road trip across the U.S. among her travel goals, so maybe that will be the more flexible, baby-friendly option.
Wherever they go, one thing we can count on from the Teigen-Legend clan is plenty of Snapchat moments — no filters required.
