Blue Ivy was clearly feeling the glitz, as she snagged an auction paddle at the event and tried to bid $19,000 for a painting of a young Sidney Poitier. (Papa Bear Jay-Z shot that down, but Blue Ivy still managed to bid on — and win — a $10,000 piece of art anyway. Like most 6-year-olds, Blue Ivy is passionate about amassing a proper art collection. Kids today.)
The event had a very cool From Waco to Wakanda theme celebrating the massive impact of the film Black Panther. Beyoncé was also the recipient of the 2018 WACO Theater Humanitarian Award along with her mother-in-law, Gloria Carter. (Who knew Bey had an MIL?)
