Plenty of parents have some understandable anxiety about how to handle their kids’ teen years. After all, even the most well behaved among us occasionally told a few lies to our parents in high school. (“I swear I’m spending the night at my friend’s house, Mom!” sounds quite familiar, am I right?)
But thanks to her own rebellious teen years, Drew Barrymore is totally ready to say, “Bring it on!” when her daughters become teenagers.

In an upcoming interview on Sunday Today with Willie Geist shared with People, the actor spoke about her adorable young daughters Frankie, who turns 4 next month, and Olive, 5.
“When my kids, I don’t know, figure out some of the things that I’ve did in my childhood, I’m like, ‘Yeah, and that makes me all the more insightful to when you’re pulling crap on me,'” Barrymore told Geist.

“I was born for teenage girls,” Barrymore continued. “You’re my karma and don’t worry, I know everything you’re up to. I’m basically in my 80s and I’ve seen it all, darling. You ain’t pulling the wool over my eyes.”
Consider yourselves warned, Frankie and Olive — your mom knows all the stunts in the book, and she’s planning ahead.

Barrymore also shared that, when she learned she’d be the mother to not one but two girls, her first thought was that they’d learn to work out the “perfect existence” together thanks to what she’s “seen and done and learned” throughout her own past.
