Supermodels and pro athletes go together like chocolate and peanut butter, right? So we weren’t that surprised when Kate Upton married Justin Verlander last November in Tuscany because that’s just what you do when you’re a model and a Houston Astros pitcher in love. We were, however, surprised to find out this morning that the pair is expecting their first child. Upton released the happy news in a super-glam Instagram reveal. I mean, dang.

Upton captioned the photo simply “PregnantinMiami @justinverlander.” For his part, Verlander reposted Upton’s pic and wrote, “You’re going to be the most amazing Mom!! I can’t wait to start this new journey with you. You’re the most thoughtful, loving, caring, and strong woman I’ve ever met! I’m so proud that our little one is going to be raised in this world by a woman like you! I love you so much.”

Vogue covered Upton and Verlander’s nuptials, which took place at the Rosewood resort above a garden (but of course). Upton wowed in a bespoke lace wedding gown by Valentino. According to CNN, Upton and Verlander had to miss the originally planned wedding date because Verlander’s team, the Astros, wound up playing in (and winning) Game 7 of the World Series, which is pretty much the best reason we’ve ever heard to postpone a wedding.
“It was really important to Justin and me that it feel like we were on vacation with our closest friends and family,” Upton told Vogue about the big day, which included fireworks and karaoke and a whole lot of really photogenic humans.

Apparently, Upton is feeling great according to an insider who chatted with People. “She has the perfect little bump.” We have yet to hear of an imperfect baby bump, but hey. Congrats, Kate and Justin!
