When I was 5, I didn’t even know what the word “prom” meant — but then again, I wasn’t a budding fashionista like North West. The 5-year-old is taking after her famous mom in a big way — and even made her runway debut last month at the L.O.L. Surprise fashion show. It’s no surprise North already has her sights set on some of Kardashian West’s most glamorous gowns, and one in particular has struck her fancy.

“I have all my Met dresses in an archive, and I have the Versace in my closet,” Kardashian West told Ashley Graham on the podcast Pretty Big Deal, referring to the gold Versace Atelier gown she wore to this year’s Met Gala. “And North actually went in, and she’s always like, ‘Mom, can I have this when I’m big?'”

“She’s going through everything. And she said, ‘Mom, I just want that gold cross dress that you have.’ And I was like, ‘Do you wanna wear it to the prom? You can wear it to your [prom],'” the reality star continued. She did give North one caveat: It’ll have to fit her on the big day, so she’d better hope she reaches her mom’s height.
Surely Kardashian West can afford to have the dress altered if North still wants the dress when she’s a teenager, but what do I know about Met Gala gowns? (Spoiler alert: not much.)

And if North changes her mind about her prom attire, something tells us she’ll still look like a million bucks. I mean, this 5-year-old’s sense of style is far superior to mine, and I’m 30.
