The California sun is shining bright, palm trees are swaying in the wind, and Keke Palmer is in full ‘90s mom mode in her floral silk sundress with mini bangs curled under. But despite the all-around amazingness of this stunning new photo shoot, it’s someone else who steals all the spotlight: 19-month-old Leodis “Leo” Andrellton! Palmer’s baby boy is the definition of chill in this stunning new mommy-and-me photos, and his laid-back energy is unmatched.
“My little guy and me, always making moves,” the Bosses star captioned the post on Instagram. In the first photo, Palmer looks serene as she sits on a fenced wall with her tennis shoes and pearl necklace. As Palmer looks to the side with her serious face, Leo isn’t playing any games. He is turned toward the camera with a slight smirk on his face and one hand raised in greeting. He looks super cute too in a white t-shirt, khaki sweats, and high-top Nike sneakers.
Palmer turns to the side, with one arm stretched out and her face turned the other way in the next photo. While she’s busy working her angles, Leo is…exactly the same. He has remained completely unchanged (one hand still up in the air and everything!). Why switch it up when the first look worked so well?!
He rests his hand in the next photo, as Palmer wraps him up in a sweet hug. Leo’s eyes are squinting in the sun, and he just looks totally relaxed. They pose next to an intricate red doorway at another point in the photoshoot, but Leo is too busy looking at his own shadow to notice the camera. She holds Leo then pushes him in the stroller in other photos, and he never once rejects his calm demeanor. He’s such a little prince!
In the comments, everyone compared Palmer to Angela Bassett. “If you don’t do the Angela Bassett biopic then I don’t know. It’s uncanny 😭😭😭” one person wrote. Someone else said, “When you and Angela Bassett going tell us the truth.”
“Very classy very angelic very mother of a prince,” someone else wrote. SZA even commented, writing, “There go arnez n his mama😍.”
Having a baby has helped Palmer realize the important things in life. She told E! Newslast month that motherhood changed her “in ways I didn’t expect.” She explained, “The funny thing about it, the child is the most responsible you can be. Having a child is going to bring a certain level of responsibility that nothing else will.”
This includes working on herself. “I need to be the best for him and to be the best for him, I gotta be the best me. I’m not gonna be able to be the best me for him if I’m not focusing on the things that make me the best I can be.”
It’s so true. And while she’s busy being the best, Leo gets to enjoy just being his most relaxed, laid-back self!
