Kim Kardashian has been quite open about her motherhood journey since she welcomed her first child in 2013. She’s shared the good, the bad, and the ugly; and now, she’s sharing a rather heartbreaking inevitability in parenthood.
In case you missed it, Kardashian shared a quote to her Instagram Stories, obtained by DailyMail.
She said, “The sad part about motherhood is that you’re raising the one person you can’t live without… to be able to live without you.”
It’s the sad truth, and many parents have to deal with this conflicting feeling. The point is to help your children thrive in every stage of their lives, especially when they’re grown and out of the house.
For those who don’t know, Kardashian and her ex-husband Kanye West share four children together. Their names are North, born in June 2013, Saint, born in Dec 2015, Chicago, born in Jan 2018, and Psalm, born in May 2019.
In a previous interview with CR Fashion Book, Kardashian talked about motherhood.
“Motherhood is the most challenging and rewarding experience of life,” she said. “The days are so long but the years are so short. I love the night snuggles, I love our morning madness before school — I love it all. Even when it seems overwhelming, I know that my babies will grow up and I will wish for the days of tantrums and the cute little PJs and bath time and book time. So, I cherish it all!”
