Chrissy Teigen Introduced Her Babies to a Meaningful Family Tradition With the Adorable Help of Big Sister Luna

The kitchen is the heart of the home, and food is the currency of love in many families. Including Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s! The Cravings author encourages her four kids to get involved with baking and recipes, and her recent post revealed the meaningful way she just introduced her youngest two kids to a beloved family food tradition.

Teigen — who is mom to Wren, 15 months, Esti, 21 months, Miles, 6, and Luna, 8 — shared the “comfort recipe” her family has made for decades with her two babies. “*ultimate comfort recipe!!*” the chef wrote on Instagram. “I think we could all use a good recipe. The past few months have us all feeling stress, unease, discomfort and uncertainty. We can find peace in all sorts of things – therapies, art, breaking things in a rage room. But for me, one of the best things we can do for ourselves is fill our bellies with a wonderful meal.”

The meal in question is called Jok Moo, and it’s something that Teigen was first introduced to as a baby. “I’ve been eating this recipe since I was a year old. And if you aren’t a baby, it’s also the most ultimate hangover cure!” she continued, adding that she “finally made” it for Wren and Esti.

Jok Moo is “a hearty rice porridge made with spiced pork meatballs.” Teigen explained, “The aroma of fresh ginger, green onion, cilantro and garlic will fill your kitchen and the warmth of the creamy rice porridge will warm your bellies. I have about 298 people in my home on a daily basis so I make LOADS at a time but this soup can easily be frozen to eat whenever.”

In the first video, Wren is clearly enjoying his mom’s Jok Moo. He takes a bite from his silicone green bowl with his matching green spoon (he even has a silicone green bib to complement the look!). When he notices someone is filming, he smiles a toothy grin and says “cheese” over and over.

In slide 2, Teigen prepares the Jok Moo on the stove in the kitchen island. Luna sits on the counter on the other side of the stove, crouching down to help her mom form the balls of ground pork. “What are we making?” Teigen asks Luna in the video.

“Jok!” she responds, as she drops the formed pork ball into the pot. Such a cutie!

“Love Luna’s Asian squat!!! ❤️” one person commented. Another wrote, “Soup sounds delicious but Wren’s ‘cheese’ was just too adorable.”

“What a doll He sure knows how to use that spoon lol” another said.

The Chrissy & Dave Dine Out star is half Thai on her mother’s side, and she often introduces her kids to her culture. Like in April, when the entire family posed for photos in traditional Thai clothing called Chut Thai. Teigen shared photos from the shoot in honor of Songkran, the Thai New Year celebration.

They also took a trip to Thailand together, where the kids got to ride in a Tuk Tuk, try boat noodles, and make crafts together.

In a September interview with PEOPLE, the “All of Me” singer opened up about how he and Teigen are more laidback as parents now. “We are definitely more relaxed in general, so we’re not as stressed. Even though you still have to do the work, none of it is as intimidating or worrying as it used to be. You’re not nervous about it. You’re like, ‘I got this.'”

He added, “They’re so cute and interesting, and it’s so interesting to see their personalities develop, but it is truly nonstop. You’ve got to watch them every second. They’re both walking now, so it’s more trouble for them to get into. It requires all hands on deck.”

Even though it’s chaotic, it also sounds wonderful — and you can tell these kids are so well loved!
