Growing up watching Steve Irwin (aka, the Crocodile Hunter) on TV, I was always amazed by his incredible wildlife adventures. And now, his daughter Bindi Irwin and granddaughter Grace Warrior are carrying on his legacy by living the most magical life, too! Bindi just shared a ton of cute photos and videos of her 3-and-a-half-year-old daughter — including many fairytale-like moments of life on the Australia Zoo — and it looks like an idyllic childhood.
“A collection of my favourite moments captured on camera from life lately… 💛” the Crikey! It’s the Irwins star wrote on Instagram recently. And her life lately? It involves tons of wholesome family moments outside.
In the first picture, Bindi holds Grace at the beach in a beautiful selfie with her husband Chandler Powell. In another, Grace wears a light green princess dress as she sits in a wicker chair next to her mom, who leans over the armrest to hug her daughter. Grace entertains herself at a restaurant, playing with a toy penguin inside a hot dog car while her mom smiles next to her.
Bindi walks hand-in-hand with her daughter at shops outside, wearing a “warrior” hat that references her daughter’s middle name and her dad’s famous Wildlife Warriors. And since their lives are full of incredible animal moments, there are several photos of Grace with wild creatures. In one, a happy Grace leans over a huge tortoise, which matches a picture of Bindi later doing the same thing. She’s not even a little bit scared! There are a few photos of Grace swinging, including one with animals roaming in the background. She pets a red-tailed panda in one, and feeds leaves to a giraffe in another.
Other happy moments include one of Grace cheesing on top of a rhino statue, Grace hugging a huge stuffed elephant next to a picture of Steve and a crocodile at the zoo, and a picture of Grace hanging out with a real-life kangaroo. The toddler gets all dressed up in some of the photos, like one where she is in a pretty pink dress walking through the trees strung with lights. Another is a family photo, where Powell, Bindi, and Grace sit under a tree wrapped with twinkling white lights. Grace sits on the deck, smiling up at the lights and showing off her gorgeous green tulle dress with colorful flower embroidery along the front. It’s impossible to choose a favorite because they are all so cute!
Bindi’s mom Terri Irwin commented, “So precious!” Someone else commented, “Oh what a magical childhood you and your brother must have had, growing up around all of that beautiful wildlife. How special that your daughter gets to experience that magic as well.❤️”
“So beautiful and such a loving family. Baby girl is growing up so fast and learning to love all animals as you and family have always done ❤️,” someone else said.
Another thing Grace has that’s just like her mom? Her Australian accent! Bindi shared a video earlier this week of Grace embracing her Aussie accent while helping her dad at the Wildlife Hospital. “Sharing a greater glider with our sweet daughter, Grace, at the #AustraliaZooWildlifeHospital 💚” Powell captioned the heartfelt video.
In it, Grace holds a greater glider, with her dad explaining what the animal is and Grace asking questions. People couldn’t get over her “adorable” accent, and honestly, neither can we. This little girl is just too cute. And since we can’t live at a zoo in Australia, we love living vicariously through this little Warrior!
