Margot Robbie has only been a mom for a few weeks, but she’s reportedly been enjoying every second of it! A new source dished on how the new mom is adjusting to mom life, and we are getting teary-eyed over one sentimental detail.
The Barbie star and husband Tom Ackerley welcomed a son, whose name and exact birthdate have not been announced yet, which PEOPLE confirmed on Nov. 2. Since then, she’s been photographed walking around Venice Beach in California and pushing a stroller, looking chic in a ‘90s-inspired denim overalls and a flowing white peasant top.
Apparently, she feels as light and happy as she looks. Insiders told PEOPLE that Robbie and Ackerley are “so happy” to be parents, especially because getting pregnant in the first place didn’t come easy. “They waited a long time to get pregnant, so it was almost unbelievable when the baby actually arrived,” the source told the outlet. “They’ve both been settling into being parents.”
That incredible feeling of staring at your newborn baby and trying to wrap your mind around the fact that something you’ve wanted and dreamed of is finally here is indescribable. It makes me feel so happy and emotional for Robbie!
The Asteroid City star is also reportedly happy to spend some time with her little one outside the public eye. “They’re homebodies so it’s been lovely to spend the time just them, at home with him,” the insider added. “They’re so happy.”
Although Robbie hasn’t spoken about her baby yet, she has given clues about the traits she admires when reflecting on her own mother. The Australian actress credited her mom Sarie Kessler with teaching her about strength. “She was a single mother raising my brothers and my sister and I by herself and we didn’t make life easy for her,” Robbie told The Resident in 2017. “We were always fighting and my mum had to be a very strong woman to hold things together. She’s an amazing woman.”
