Bindi Irwin’s Daughter Grace Is the ‘Best’ at Doing One Thing & the Picture Evidence Will Melt Your Heart

Despite not even being old enough for kindergarten, Bindi Irwin’s daughter Grace Warrior is already the “best” at one special task at Australia Zoo. (And she’s really good at a bunch of other things, too!) In honor of World Kindness Day today, Grace’s grandma (aka, her “Bunny”) Terri Irwin shared the sweetest snap of her granddaughter in action — and it’ll melt your heart.

“Grace hugs are the best. ❤️#WorldKindnessDay” Terri captioned the photo on Instagram. In the precious snap, Grace gives her dad Chandler Powell the biggest bear hug. They are standing outside, with Powell in the classic Australia Zoo khaki, while Grace stands out in a hot pink floral shirt. She leans her head on his shoulder, with one arm wrapped around his shoulder and the other hugging his neck. Grace smiles as she gives her dad a hug, holding a little stuffed turtle in one hand. Some toddlers are too busy to for snuggle time, but apparently Grace does it right, and it’s the cutest thing ever.

In the comments, people shared their love. “Aww … this is just the sweetest! Grace is definitely daddy’s girl! ❤️❤️” one person commented. Someone else wrote, “God has given you all a precious gift. She’s the sweetest angel.”

Terri, who shares Bindi, 26, and son Robert, 20, with the late Steve Irwin, opened up recently about the shock and grief of losing her husband in Sept. 2006. In an interview on the Wiggle Talk podcast recently, per Yahoo!, Terri shared that someone reached out to her after Steve’s death telling her, “Eventually grief doesn’t consume you, it walks next to you.”

“I thought, what does that look like? How does that happen? Can I please just make it happen now because I’m so sad,” she said. “When they say time heals all wounds, it doesn’t, but eventually it changes it and it walks next to you. It’s always there and you have to acknowledge your grief, but it’s a companion rather than an all-consuming feeling.”

“And if we can focus on that and focus on [how] there’s some grief you never really get over, it’s okay,” she added. “You’re gonna be okay and your kids will be okay and the sun will shine again. It may not shine as bright, but it’ll shine again. So that’s what you have to hold on to.”

Now we are feeling emotional! Terri may not have her husband anymore, but his beautiful, kind heart lives on through her family and her sweet granddaughter.
