Tom Brady is getting nostalgic on his daughter’s last birthday before entering her teens. The twice-retired quarterback posted a carousel of photos of his now 12-year-old daughter Vivian Lake Brady on Instagram, and we can’t get over how much she looks like her mom, Gisele Bündchen.
In the opening shot, Vivi looks so happy and carefree, beaming by the ocean. She has her mom’s long [dirty] blonde locks, diamond face shape, and full lips. In later pictures, she poses with her dad in front of the Eiffel Tower at the Paris Olympic Games, dives from a cliff under the watchful eye of Brady, and poses with a teeny pup secured in her hoodie’s pocket.
And, of course, Brady had to close the carousel with a precious throwback of a newborn Vivi. (What kind of birthday tribute doesn’t have an aww-inducing throwback?!)
“Happy 12th birthday to my forever baby girl,” the Super Bowl winner captioned the post. “Watching you grow and chase after your dreams are the proudest moments of my life.”
“Your love, compassion, and joy fill up every room that you’re in, and will always make your daddy smile,” he continued. “You light up my life! … I love you infinity x infinity!!! ❤️❤️❤️”
Along with Vivi, Brady shares 14-year-old son Benjamin with ex-wife Bündchen and 17-year-old son Jack with ex Bridget Moynahan. And while Vivi may take after her mom, Jack looks just like Brady.
Every time the former football player shares photos of his oldest, fans can’t get over the uncanny resemblance. “Tom Brady’s son looks more like Tom Brady than Tom Brady looks like Tom Brady,” one person commented on a 2023 birthday tribute. “Jawline genes are CRAZY,” another said.
Last month, Brady sat down for a vulnerable interview at the Fortune Global Forum in New York City and talked about how his childhood affected his parenting style. Admittedly, he said he “screwed up a lot” as a dad over the years, but he wants to support his kids in the same way his parents supported him.
“Whatever our kids choose … we gotta support [them],” Brady said. “The blessings my parents gave me was when I was that long shot as a kid who was a backup quarterback on a freshman team … they never said, ‘Man, don’t do that. It’s gonna be too hard. Let’s do something different. Let’s think about another backup plan.’ They kind of said, ‘You know what, go for it. Whatever you wanna be, go for it.’”
These celebrity parents are sharing the struggle — and sweetness — of raising teenagers.
