To say that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds had a controversial year would be putting it lightly. Between the drama with It Ends With Usand many calling both of them out for not taking hard-to-talk-about subjects seriously, interview issues, and more, it’s no wonder insiders claim they want a more family-focused 2025.
Insiders recently told Life and Style Magazine that the well-known “workaholics” are going to try to focus on their family of six after this whirlwind year.
“With 2024 almost over, Ryan is signaling to his Hollywood pals that he and Blake are jumping off the treadmill, retreating to their country home for the holidays and focusing on family for the foreseeable future,” the insider said to the outlet. “It was a crazy year for both of them and they need time with their kids and time away from New York City and Los Angeles.”
“They’re committed to it precisely because they’re committed to their family and keeping it together,” the insider added. “…They both had to spring like crazy to get their 2024 movies finished and in shape for release. But now they’ve cleared their schedules and are serious about family coming first.”
However, if you take a peek at their IMDb pages, it seems their schedules are just as jam-packed as ever. Per Lively’s, she has four upcoming projects, including the Simple Favor sequel coming out in 2025. As for Reynolds, he has nine acting projects upcoming, and 11 producing jobs.
But maybe they have a plan to balance it all, and ensure they have the family-focused year they allegedly want.
For those who don’t know, Lively and Reynolds originally met on the set of Green Lantern back in 2010, and by Oct 2011, they started dating.
They married less than a year later, and have since welcomed four children named James, born in Dec 2014, Inez, born in Sept 2016, Betty, born in Oct 2019, and Olin, born in Feb 2023.
