Lisa Marie Presley‘s daughters are once again coming together and mourning the loss of their late mother. Yesterday marked the 2nd anniversary since Lisa Marie — the only daughter of Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley — tragically passed away at the age of 54 from complications from bariatric surgery. And though the girls have no doubt been grieving the unimaginable loss this whole time, they made it a point yesterday to share sweet tributes for their mom on Instagram.
Presley shares an adult daughter Riley Keough with ex Danny Keough, and the former couple also shared a son, Benjamin, who tragically died by suicide at age 27. Presley also welcomed twin teen daughters Harper and Finley with ex Michael Lockwood. The 16-year-olds each shared an idyllic throwback photo with their mom that their big sister promptly reposted. In Harper’s photo, Presley sits in the grass with the twin babies in her lap. Harper and Finley are dressed in pretty springtime dresses and have bows in their hair and stuffies by their sides. Lisa Marie hunches over to snuggle closer to the two cuties, and it’s all just so wholesome.
“I can’t believe it’s been 2 years,” Harper wrote over the photo, “I miss and love you so much mama.”
As for Finley, she chose an indoor photo from when she and her sister were infants. One of them is lying on a changing table and is being comforted by their mom, while the singer-songwriter holds the other to her chest. “2 years,” Finley wrote over the picture, “i love you always.”
In both photos, Presley looks so happy and blissful. See screenshots of the priceless throwbacks HERE.
Presley’s daughters weren’t the only ones to mark the occasion. Her 79-year-old mother also turned to social media to pen a touching tribute on the morbid anniversary.
“I miss you more than words can say,” Priscilla Presley captioned a striking photo of her daughter. “I wish I could hold you, talk to you, see your smile just one more time. I wish you could see how much you are still loved, how deeply you are missed by all of us who carry you in our hearts.”
In Oct. 2024, Presley’s eldest daughter helped one of her dreams come true when she finished and posthumously released the memoir her mom had been working on. In From Here to the Great Unknown, Presley details what it was like to have her dad attend parent-teacher conferences, the “sense” she had the night before he died, and even more bombshells about her childhood with the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll as her dad.
Keough shared a sweet video in October where her 2-year-old daughter Tupelo helps “sign” copies of the memoir. (Read: Tupelo lovingly scribbled over a photo of her mom and grandma.) “May Tupelo shine a light to carry on the Presley family legacy 👑👑⚡⚡👑👑⚡⚡,” read a translated comment on the adorable yet heartwrenching video.
