Keke Palmer’s baby Leodis “Leo” Andrellton is almost 2 (!!), and he is more like his mama than ever. The Nope star just revealed one very special way her toddler takes after her, which she called “the cutest thing in the world.” And, yes, we are going to need a video update ASAP!
In an interview on Late Night With Seth Meyersthis week, the Master of Me author gave an update on her little boy, who is “obsessed” with cars and Blippi (he could be best friends with my 2-year-old!). But just like his mama, Leo likes to sing!
“My son sings, and it’s the cutest thing in the world,” Palmer, who shares Leo with ex Darius Jackson, gushed on the appearance.
“Is that too young to tell if they’re good at it?” host Seth Meyers asked.
“Perfect pitch,” Palmer decisively answered, making Meyers laugh. “Absolutely perfect pitch.”
How cool is that? And unlike other celebrities who are hesitant to see their kids follow in their footsteps, Palmer hopes that Leo takes to Hollywood one day.
“In a perfect world, I see my son being like, ‘Hello’ in 30 years, ‘It’s Leodis Jackson. You’re watching ‘Password,’” she said, referring to the gameshow Password she hosts with Jimmy Fallon. “I just love the idea of, you know, the family business. But I mean, if he grows up and says he wants to play baseball, I gotta let it happen.”
“That’s so nice that you’ll give up entertainment for another hugely successful field,” Meyers joked with a laugh. “What a wonderful mother you’re going to be! ‘You can walk away from the arts as long as you’re a professional baseball player.’”
“That’s right!” she responded.
The One of Them Days actress loves making cute videos with her son, singing to him, and even acting out his favorite shows. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, she revealed that she can act Boss Baby on demand. “I do that [voice] to my son, and he immediately starts laughing,” Palmer told the outlet. “He’s absolutely obsessed.”
For her, work is her happy place. She told Rolling Stone, “That’s the source of my purpose: to create. I’m working at something that I love. Doesn’t mean it’s not hard. Doesn’t mean I’m not wore out at times. But I like to be put to work. For me, that’s my joy.”
“Now, where that comes from, we could dive into all day,” she continued. “But all I know is it makes me happy, so I keep doing it.”
No wonder she hopes Leo will follow suit — she loves what she does so much and wants to share it with him!
