Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s Daughters Gave Him a Sneaky Makeover: ‘I’ll Take This Abuse All Day Long’

When it comes to his youngest daughters Jasmine, 9, and Tiana “Tia,” 6, who he shares with wife Lauren Hashian, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is a big softie. The girls recently tricked him into giving him an entire makeover, and the resulting video proves he’s the ultimate girl dad!

“What started off with my two tornadoes, Jazzy & Tia asking, ‘Daddy can we just put some eye shadow on you’ and me saying — ‘yes but make it quick and make it cool, because I gotta go to the gym,’” the Moana 2 star wrote on Instagram. Sounds innocent enough, right? But then the girls went a little overboard.

In the accompanying video, The Rock sits down while his daughters paint his cheeks in pink, apply winged black eyeliner to his eyes, purple eyeshadow to his eyes, black makeup to his nose, and pink lipstick to his lips. His bald head is adorned with glitter and stickers, and he wears faux earrings and a lipstick-painted pink necklace. He stares solemnly ahead in the video showing off their creative work set to Simon & Garfunkel singing, “Hello darkness, my old friend!” One girl goes to apply lipstick to his head, and the tip breaks off, causing Johnson to give the camera a look in pure resignation (how he stops himself from laughing is beyond me!).

Despite his facial expression, Johnson loved every moment of it. In the caption, he added, “(hey I know they won’t always be little or prefer hanging out with daddy when they’re older, but they’ll always be my baby girls so I’ll take this abuse all day long – bring it on 🤣🥰).” So sweet!

In the comments, The Rock added, “The disrespect of breaking lipstick 💄 on my head 👨🏽‍🦲 and then painting it with nail polish 💅🏾” You gotta love it!

Priyanka Chopra Jonas commented, “You’re beautiful 👏🤣😍.”

“Dwayne being a dad is the best thing ever,” someone else wrote.

The Red One star, who is also dad to Ava Raine, 23, with ex Dany Garcia, often lets his little ones give him a makeover (who could forget the “unicorn poo” facial?!), and it’s all part of being a dedicated dad.

Johnson previously told PEOPLE that his parenting philosophy is to “just be there.” He explained, “You can be wired, as a lot of fathers are, to fix things. Just having an expanded capacity to listen and be more tender and gentle really gave me that ability to solve whatever the issue is, but with them compared to for them.”

He also said that Jasmine and Tia “are tornadoes and very passionate about how they feel.” The proud dad added, “Lauren and I like raising them in an environment and a culture where there are no limits to life. You can do anything you want, and you can achieve anything you want. However, I need you to be flexible with how we get there.”
