Lynda Carter had her daughter Jessica Carter Altman by her side for the Schiaparelli Haute Couture show at Paris Fashion Week, and the Carter women could have easily walked the catwalk. The mother-daughter duo stepped out in coordinated black and gold couture, and their fierce fashion choices weren’t the only things that had us doing a double take.
Instead, we were stunned by just how much Jessica looks like her mom. If Carter — who also shares son James with her late husband Robert Altman — had let her hair fall in loose waves, she would have looked like her daughter’s twin. And if Jessica had just put her fists confidently on each hip, she would have been the spitting image of her mom as Wonder Woman in 1975.
This is far from the first time onlookers got whiplash from seeing the ever-perfect lookalikes. In July 2023, Carter posted a mother-daughter photo celebrating her 72nd birthday, and followers agreed they looked like sisters with their matching wide smiles, bright eyes, and perfectly sculpted eyebrows.
“Wow, how beautiful, they look like sisters,” one fan commented. Another wrote, “Looking like Sisters!!!😍😍😍😍😍”
Carter spoke to People in 2017 about how she found fulfillment by building a family with Altman.
“I spent a lot of time on movie sets… but I didn’t have a lot of substance in my life,” she said. ” … It’s always the people in your life — the friends and family that you choose to spend time with.”
In Sept. 2020, Jessica told Access Hollywood that her mom really is Wonder Woman. “She embodies the character every single day,” she said. “ … I just feel really lucky that my mom is even more wonderful than the character.”
“She taught me how to be strong; she taught me how to be brave, and she taught me that I could do whatever it is that I want to do, and that I didn’t have to fit anyone else’s ideal,” Jessica continued. “I just had to be myself.”
These celebrity parents are raising strong, resilient daughters.
