Dannielynn Birkhead went home starry-eyed last night. The 18-year-old daughter of the late Anna Nicole Smith and Larry Birkhead got to meet her celebrity crush! [Insert squeals of glee!]
For Christmas, Birkhead gifted his teen a life-size cardboard cutout of Hugh Jackman and tickets to the actor’s concert series at Radio City Music Hall, Hugh Jackman Live: From New York With Love.
“From a cardboard cutout Christmas dream, to reality,” read a caption from Birkhead and Dannielynn’s joint Instagram account. The post included a video of Dannielynn clapping from the front row and then meeting her celebrity crush (she’s got good taste!) after the show. Even waiting in the frigid temperatures couldn’t keep a smile off Dannielynn’s face as she got an autograph and a hug from Jackman.
” … Hugh told her he was watching her enthusiasm during his performance of ‘A Million Dreams’ … She was extremely excited and a bit in disbelief when she got to actually meet him after all.” Birkhead wrote, gushing over Jackman’s “kindness.”
Fans were so happy to see the giddy teen’s pure joy, commenting things like, “How wonderful! So happy for her! 😍,” “I’m so happy for her … it’s an incredible show. So glad she’s got to meet him,” and “Look at that smile 😊 how wonderful for her 🩷🫶🏻”
Dannielynn’s cardboard cutout must seem like chopped liver now, but when she was first gifted the hilarious collectors’ item, she had a blast. The teen had a whole photoshoot with “Jackman.”
“When I was asking (a deflated) Dannielynn what she wanted for Christmas, she said, ‘Hugh Jackhman under the tree,'” Birkhead captioned the post in which he described how he tried (and nearly failed) to get her tickets to his show. ” … After days of kicking myself for screwing things up and still searching for Dannielynn’s Christmas gifts, I went back online Christmas week and was able to find that some tickets had opened up. I found her a life-size cutout of Hugh and put it under the tree … I’m just a Dad making dreams come true one day at a time. 😆”
“Not sure what we are going to do with this cutout now?? Scratch that, it’s already in her room! 😂”
