Cardi B has some big expectations for her kids’ futures — and it’s all about the money. The “Bodak Yellow” rapper revealed some eyebrow-raising expectations for her kids Kulture, 6, Wave, 3, and a newborn daughter, 4 months, who she shares with ex Offset, and we have so many questions for her.
In a now-deleted Instagram story on Wednesday, Cardi B opened up about her expectations for her children. “My biggest fear is my kids not having that DRIVE …IDGAF what you wanna do!!” she wrote, per PEOPLE. She’s seemingly referring to the passionate career drive that she has, which has led to her own multiple millions.
She doesn’t care if her kids become rappers like she is or do something else, but there is one thing she does want to see happen: “MAKE A BILLION DOLLARS OUT OF IT! 😤,” Cardi B added in the post.
A billion dollars?! Seems to be a pretty intense standard, doesn’t it? Most of us can’t even hope to achieve a million dollars in our lifetimes, but a billion? That’s pretty wild. (We can’t help but notice she isn’t really focused on the being happy part of their futures, but maybe that’s implied.)
The “Money” rapper is seemingly trying to reach that billion-dollar goal herself, after rumors swirled that her net worth was $80 million. She told Complex in April, per Billboard,“I feel like I actually passed almost doing $80 million. I make a lot of money. I make a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot of money.”
Good for her! And she’s giving back, too. “But also, I got a lot, a lot of bills,” she added. “I’m taking care of [family]. I’m helping a lot. I’m not going to say I take care, I’m helping a lot, and I help a lot of my friends, and I help a lot of my family and everything.”
She also loves spoiling her kids with diamonds, designer clothes, custom handbags, and $20,000 backyard playgrounds. Considering how she revealed last month that she spends “about $3 million in a month,” per E! News, it actually makes sense she wants her kids to be billionaires. They have to be able to afford the luxe lifestyle they’re getting accustomed to now!
Plus, no mom wants to see their kids struggle, so we can’t blame her for that.
