Shemar Moore is setting the record straight. The Criminal Mindsstar shared a raw and vulnerable video on Instagram after news hit that he and Jesiree Dizon broke up. (ICYMI: The former couple had been dating since at least 2020, and welcomed their daughter Frankie in Jan. 2023.) The proud girl dad rarely broke eye contact in the video, acknowledging that “fame is a motherf*cker” when it comes to the lack of privacy surrounding major life events.
“I said what I said,” Moore captioned the post.
And while he did ask people to “mind your business” and keep negativity to themselves, he made it a point to sing Dizon’s praises too.
“She is a phenomenal mother, phenomenal mother, loving, attentive, caring, smart, nurturing, phenomenal,” he said, even going so far as to compare her to his late mother Marilyn.
“My mother was it,” he said. “My mother was the best mother that I could ever ask for. Jesiree, guys, is number two.”
The model is also mom to an 18-year-old son Kaiden and a 6-year-old daughter Charlie from previous relationships.
Moore went on to insist that he and Jesiree love each other and will continue to love each other “until the day God calls my name.”
“We gonna love each other, and we gonna love the hell out of our daughter, Frankie,” the S.W.A.T. star said before repeating his previous sentiments. “She’s a phenomenal mother, phenomenal mother. I’m so grateful that our girl Frankie gets to call Jesiree mom. Jesiree loves [her three kids]. When I’m not able to be there because of work or whatever, I know our daughter is in good hands.”
Given that touching message, we have no doubt the two will be stellar at co-parenting. Moore said they will continue to go to extracurriculars and on vacations — “ballet, soccer, basketball, Disneyland, water park, whatever” — as a family. They don’t plan on letting their differences interfere with their parenting “because it’s not about anything but the children.”
“Frankie’s got the two dopest people, as parents,” he continued. ” … We just gonna live life a little differently.”
The actor went on to call Dizon a “phenomenal” mom again and said he is going to be the “best version of himself” for his “miracle” daughter Frankie.
“There’s nothing but love in my heart,” he continued. “I have no malice in my heart. I want everybody to win. So please root for me, Jesiree, Kaiden, Charlie, and Frankie to win.”
And the sweet family of five has nothing but our support. We’re wishing Moore and Dizon the best as they embark on this new journey as co-parents. It sounds like they’re certainly starting off on the right foot!
