Brittany Mahomes is now the proud mom of three kids who she shares with Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. One might think that she’d be entirely prepared for the postpartum experience the third time around, but Brittany Mahomes is so stunned a few weeks after welcoming baby Golden Raye Mahomes.
Mahomes recently shared on her Instagram Story a screenshot of her health status on the wearable fitness tracker, Whoop. She said that except for the first night after welcoming Golden, she’s had a “green recovery score.” (Read: Her body is doing really well.)
“I’m very confused but I also am just happy to not be pregnant and tired all the time,” she wrote, per Us Weekly. “Less sleep better recovery?? Make it make sense.”
Because what?! How is she doing so well? We’re so happy for her and know there are more than a few jealous mamas out there who wish they could be thriving on the classic postpartum sleep deprivation. (Britt! Girl! As soon as you make sense of it, share your secret!)
Mahomes — who also shares 3-year-old daughter Sterling and 2-year-old son Bronze with her high school sweetheart — is doing so well, in fact, that she’s been attending her husband’s games.
Last month, on an episode of Today with Jenna & Friends, Jenna Bush Hager and guest co-host Scarlett Johansson were stunned to see Mahomes on the sidelines.
“How is she upright?” Johansson asked, per The Independent.
“She said her glam squad brought her back to life and made her feel human,” Hager said, referring to Mahomes’ Instagram Story.
Needless to say, Johansson — like many parents — had a very different postpartum experience.
Brittany and Patrick welcomed baby Golden in mid-January, and fans were so in love with her name. After many months of speculating over the baby name the power couple would choose, followers were thrilled to hear they stuck with their trend of metallic monikers. (Reminder, their kids are Sterling and Bronze, and they have two dogs named Silver and Steel … how could they not go with Golden?)
In March 2024, Mahomes spoke to SheKnows about how much she loves motherhood.
“Oh my goodness, I love being a mom,” she gushes. “I think I’ve been called to be a mom ever since I was little. Just seeing my kids grow up, and the things that they’re learning, and the things that they’re taking from their dad … when we have first experiences with them, taking them somewhere, seeing them happy and lit up and in good spirits when we do stuff, is probably the biggest thing that I enjoy.”
