In case you’re wondering how Rumer Willis‘ and Derek Richard Thomas’ co-parenting relationship is going, she revealed it’s a lot like her own parents: Demi Moore and Bruce Willis. While Moore and Bruce broke up in 2000, they’ve been truly amazing co-parents, and apparently, that’s heavily inspired Rumer on how she goes about co-parenting her daughter Louetta.
During a recent appearance on Britain’s Loose Women, Rumer talked about how her parents’ strong co-parenting relationship influenced her bond with her ex.
“Even when they split up, they created such a beautiful foundation of prioritizing my sisters and I. I never felt like I had to choose. Like, they never played against each other. We were a family, and we still are very much a family no matter what,” she said, referring to Moore and Bruce’s incredibly strong co-parenting bond they’ve held with their three daughters Rumer, Scout, and Talulah.
She added, “Not only did I feel like that has set me up in my life to have such a beautiful foundation of my own family, but now, as I’m working through co-parenting as well, I feel deep gratitude for the example they’ve set.”
For those who don’t know, in April 2023, Willis and Thomas, welcomed their daughter Louetta.
The pair started dating in 2022, and were together until the summer of 2024. Rumer confirmed their split on Aug 22, per Instagram Story via UsWeekly, saying, “I am single-momming it and coparenting. I’m so grateful for Lou. She is the best thing in my life. I’m forever grateful I was able to have the time in that relationship for her to come into my life.”
These celebrity moms have embraced the changes in their bodies after giving birth.
