Keke Palmer’s Son Leo Helped His Mom at a Special Event & It Proves He’s the Most Chill Baby Ever

Keke Palmer’s 23-month-old baby Leodis “Leo” doesn’t even realize he’s a nepo baby yet, but he’s still totally comfortable in front of the camera. The toddler helped his mom at a special event this week, and he was the most chill baby ever!

Good Morning America captured the special moment that Leo helped his mom light up the Empire State Building in New York for Black History Monthon Instagram. The One of Them Days star wore a stunning, fitted red gown that made her red hair pop for the event. She picked up her son, dressed in a matching gray sweatsuit, black beanie, and tiny Adidas sneakers, to go up to the platform with her to help give her speech.

“I’m so happy to be here,” Palmer said from a podium, holding Leo on her hip. He looks so relaxed looking around the room, despite the audience and the cameras watching. He turns to look at the flashing lights and doesn’t even flinch. He’s a pro!

Later in the clip, the Nope star shared one of her hopes for her son during Black History Month. “I just lit up the tower for Black History Month, and I am just … I’m lit up myself!” she said in the clip. “Black history is American history.”

She added, “I’m so proud to be a millennial, and I’m very proud of my siblings who are Gen Z in all the ways that they’ve pushed things forward. And so, when I look at my son, I’m hoping that he can do the same. That we can represent. Because I think that’s the big thing is representing ourselves and seeing ourselves in nuanced stories creatively.”

Palmer also shared photos from the event on her page, including one snap of her posing in front of a display at the Empire State Building as Leo looks curiously at one of the statues sitting on the bench next to them.

“Fashion week is off to a great start, it’s BLACK HISTORY MONTH!” she wrote. “And I’m so thrilled I got the opportunity to honor it by lighting the Empire State Building! So amazing to do with my son and family!”

The Master of Me author, who shares Leo with ex Darius Jackson, recently revealed that she hopes her son grows up to work in the entertainment industry.

“In a perfect world, I see my son being like, ‘Hello’ in 30 years, ‘It’s Leodis Jackson. You’re watching ‘Password,’” she said on an interview on Late Night With Seth Meyers, referring to the gameshow Password she hosts with Jimmy Fallon. “I just love the idea of, you know, the family business. But I mean, if he grows up and says he wants to play baseball, I gotta let it happen.”

We can picture Leo taking a calm and collected approach to any future career path he chooses!
