Adam Brody might have captured the world’s hearts with his role in Netflix’s Nobody Wants This last year but it seems his kids are unimpressed by their dad’s career.
Brody is the star of this year’s Pringles Big Game ad, which will play during the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles’ highly-anticipated Super Bowl game on Sunday. And while you might expect Brody’s two children with wife Leighton Meester to be excited by their dad’s spot in the Big Game, it’s going to take more than that to win them over.
“They don’t care about anything that I do,” Brody joked to SheKnows in an exclusive interview to celebrate the Pringles ad, adding that he was going to spend Sunday “watching [the Super Bowl] with another family.” Maybe they’ll be easier to please than his 9-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son!
In the Pringles ad, Adam Brody joins facial-haired legends Nick Offerman and James Harden and Kansas City Chiefs Coach Andy Reid and learns that a simple call using a Pringles can makes mustaches take flight. Thankfully for these mustached stars, Pringles comes to the snacking rescue.
“I know there are some things that everybody wants more of, like mustaches and snacks,” said Brody of the ad. “It was so fun to work alongside some of the most iconic mustaches in the game — Nick, James, Andy, Mr. Potato Head and Mr. P.”
The ad tops off an incredible past couple of months for the beloved actor, who returned to our screens as Noah, a.k.a the Hot Rabbi, in the Netflix comedy hit Nobody Wants This last year. Fans fell in love with his character’s budding romance with Kristen Bell’s character Joanne.
Brody’s role in the hit earned him a Golden Globe nomination and, on Feb. 7, he’s celebrating another prestigious nomination at the Critics Choice Awards. “It is an honor to be nominated, and I am looking forward to a fun night out,” he tells us.
Season two of Nobody Wants This was greenlit back in October 2024 and, the following month, Brody and Bell told Variety that they would be filming in February. So, while Brody couldn’t tell us much about the show, he did reveal what he’s most excited about: “Just working with all my pals again,” he says. “As far as the story goes, I’m not sure. I’m just waiting to be surprised… I would hope that there is more laughter and heartache.”
