It’s been a little over six weeks since we made New Year’s resolutions, and Bindi Irwin is making progress on her goal. And it’s all thanks to her 3-year-old daughter Grace Warrior!  The Australia Zoo CEO shared how her adorable toddler, who she shares with husband Chandler Powell, is helping her to “crush” her resolution in the sweetest new picture.

“Who’s been crushing their New Year’s resolution to read more in 2025? We have!” a post shared to the Australia Zoo’s Instagram account was captioned. “Our top pick? Obviously – You Are a Wildlife Warrior!

In the photo, Irwin and Grace are reading the wildlife conservationist’s new children’s book, You Are a Wildlife Warrior, together. They sit outside on a sunny Australian day (it’s summer in Australia right now, after all!). Grace is beaming as she reads the book in her mom’s lap, with animals wandering around the background. It’s so cute to see her toddler helping her reach her goals. As a mom, the only thing better than reading with my kids is reading my own books after they go to bed. Seeing my kids fall in love with books like I am is just so special!

Other people thought so too, with people praising Irwin and her book in the comments. “Such a beautiful book, and wonderful that it can be shipped worldwide! 🌎” Irwin’s mom (and Grace’s “Bunny”) Terri Irwin commented.

“Awwwww, how sweet and adorable she is. She’s a mini you Bindi ❤️,” someone else said. Another wrote, “We have! 💚 Zoey loves reading her book 🫶🏼”

Bindi Irwin’s new children’s book is a bright and colorful introduction to the wild creatures who live at Australia Zoo. It’s full of animal facts and stunning pictures of Bindi and Grace interacting with the wildlife.

The Crikey! It’s the Irwins star opened up about her love of reading in a recent interview with Parents. “When you become a mum, you are so busy comforting your kids. But every mother should also be kind and gentle to themselves,” Irwin told the outlet. She explained that she loves to “cozy up in bed with a book” when it’s her husband Chandler Powell’s turn to do the nighttime routine with Grace.

“Reading has been one of the biggest parts of my life,” she added. “When I was a kid, we traveled a lot with our conservation work and no matter where we were in the world — camping in far north Queensland, catching crocodiles, or in the middle of New York City — my mum would always read us a bedtime story. Now, I like reading a little bit of everything, from biographies to fantasies.”

And now Grace gets to read her mom’s book? Such a cool, full-circle moment!
