Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are notoriously private when it comes to showing pictures and videos of their kids. But with Markle’s recent return to social media has come some ultra-rare footage of the young royals. In a new video on her Instagram story (see it HERE before it disappears), Markle is celebrating Valentine’s Day with her 5-year-old son Prince Archie and her 3-year-old daughter Princess Lilibet.
We don’t see the young royals’ faces, but we do see them helping their mom in the kitchen and just how big they have gotten. While the Duchess of Sussex cuts strawberries into hearts, Princess Lilibet (decked out in festive pajamas!) spreads what looks like strawberry cream cheese onto a bagel. Markle then places the fruit around an open-faced bagel.
We later see Prince Archie — dressed in red — dramatically open the pink and red streamers that lead to the backyard where the family must go to enjoy their meal while dad Prince Harry is in Canada for the Invictus Games. And though there might not be any bagels left for the Duke of Sussex when he gets home, don’t worry, he got a touching Valentine’s Day tribute from his wife.
Last month, Markle also shared some never-before-seen footage of the kiddos, but instead of celebrating a day filled with love and strawberry-topped bagels, the family was grieving. Their beloved dog, Guy, passed away. Markle’s tearjerking tribute on Instagram included a clip of Prince Archie walking Guy at their family farm plus a picture of Princess Lilibet playing with Guy and another one of her many fur siblings. There’s even audio of Markle and a young Prince Archie singing, “We love you, Guy, oh yes we do … when you’re not near us, we’re blue.”
And though they must still be feeling some of that blue, we’re happy to see that the increasingly visible family is also spending today surrounded by pink and red and feelings of love and happiness.
