As the former Miss World 2000, it’s no surprise that Priyanka Chopra Jonas loves all things fashion and beauty. But what we didn’t know is that this stylish instinct came about when the Citadel star was even younger than her 3-year-old daughter Malti Marie is now! Chopra Jonas just shared a bunch of childhood photos of herself on Instagram, and they reveal that Malti follows in her mama’s footsteps in this big way.
“As I was clearing up my photo library, I found some fun snippets of my life,” Chopra Jonas wrote on Instagram today. Among the adorable treasures of her life (including her first modelling photoshoot in 1999!), Malti shared pictures of her fashion-loving self as a baby and a toddler.
“Fashion first. Moms sunnies, Dads bike (make was Rajdoot I think) 1983,” the Love Again star captioned one photo. A bald-headed Chopra Jonas sits on a motorcycle with strappy sandals, a cool coat, and her mom’s oversized sunnies, with her face in a perfect pout. Yup, she was born to be a model!
In another photo, baby Pri wore the cutest traditional Indian dress with a bindi dot on her forehead. “As I said Fashion first. Always been a Desi girl 1982,” she wrote. Chopra Jonas was adorable, with fashion influencing almost every aspect of her life — a trait she clearly passed onto her daughter Malti, who always looks stylish whether she’s on a whale-watching expedition or playing in the rain. (BTW, the toddler also has her own collection of adorable sunnies!)
Fans agreed that Malti is Chopra Jonas’s twin. “The first pic….I thought that’s Malti,” one person said. Someone else said, “Malti is mini you 🥹.”
Chopra Jonas, who shares Malti with her also-fashionable husband Nick Jonas, has opened up about how much she loves dressing her daughter in cute outfits.
“My fashion muse at the moment is my daughter,” The Bluff star told Vogue India last year.
“I love dressing her up. I literally wake up every morning with a ‘fit for her, like this will be her ‘fit in the day and this will be her ‘fit in the night, and I’m in pajamas,” she added with a laugh. “I forget to dress myself.”
