Fans Gush Over Prince George’s ‘Absolutely Amazing’ Drawing of Kate Middleton

Kate Middleton is once again proving she is just a regular mom. Sure, she wears tiaras and attends fancy shmancy dinner parties, but she also shares snacks with her kids and goes to their soccer games. Plus, she proudly shows off their artwork.

The Princess of Wales recently shared Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis‘ latest drawings on Instagram as part of an ongoing PSA about the importance of art.

“Drawing portraits with children can provide a moment of connection as you spend time looking at and focusing on one another, as well as being creative and — most importantly — having lots of fun together!” she captioned the post.

In the top left corner, 6-year-old Prince Louis has drawn a portrait of his mom with what looks like markers, and the picture is complete with red hair, wavy orange bangs, and simple red facial features. Princess Charlotte’s drawing of her mom is just as colorful (we’re talking green, blue, and purple hair plus yellow eyebrows), but the 9-year-old’s seemingly crayon-based picture is slightly more sophisticated. She’s drawn full eyes for her mom (pupils and all!), a nose with nostrils, and a mouth with lips.

As for Prince George, the 11-year-old seems to have opted for a fine-tipped marker or pen, and he kept the whole thing black and white. Instead of just a close-up of Middleton’s face, he sketched his mom sitting in a big chair. (A throne perhaps?!) We can see her crossed legs and that she has placed her arms in her lap. Her long hair is tucked behind her ear and hangs in long waves, and the chair she sits in has detailed arms and cushioning.

Fans were understandably blown away with the eldest’s drawing. “What an artist Prince George is 😍🙌,” one person commented. Another added, “Aww this is adorable. Prince George is really talented, I would never have been able to make such an elegant portrait at 11 years old🖼”

And on it went:

“Prince George’s piece is absolutely amazing” “Wow! George has so much talent 😍❤️”

And his drawing really was outstanding. That, mixed with the fact that he’s the second in line to the throne, is probably why he got so much more love than his siblings. As unconventional as their takes on Middleton may have been, we think their portraits are beautiful in their own right. Way to go, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis!

The post also included a portrait that Middleton drew of her youngest. It seems like she chose charcoal to draw (and shade) a picture of Prince Louis looking blissful with his eyes closed.

The Princess of Wales is known for her artistic abilities, and she clearly passed her skills down to her kids. Beyond these drawings, we also know that Prince Louis is following in his mom’s footsteps by taking stunning photos.

Earlier this month, the young prince took a picture of his mom that she posted on World Cancer Day. He did a standout job — “You have a very good photographer☺️,” one fan commented — and now we wonder how his siblings would fair with a camera in their hands. Hopefully there are more royal art projects on the horizon!

These relatable moments show that Kate Middleton may be a royal mom — but she’s a regular mom too.
