Lily Collins is delivering the wholesome content we didn’t know we needed. (Who are we kidding, we totally knew we need it, but we weren’t prepared to ask.) The new mom shared a video on Instagram with her daughter, and it pulled on all the heartstrings.
“Tove beginning her musical education …” Collins captioned the video.
In the clip, Tove is lying on her mom’s legs, looking up at Collins, who has the biggest smile on her face. They’re listening to the song “I Can’t Dance” by Genesis, and even though that is sort of the case for little Tove, her mom is helping her out. The Emily in Paris star waves her daughter’s arms all around in the cutest little newborn choreography.
And in case you missed the best part and haven’t brushed up on your Genesis trivia, Lily’s dad is the drummer. Yes, that Collins. Lily Collins is Phil Collins’ daughter.
“Imagine listening to your grandpa’s music, and your grandpa is Phil Collins😍,” one person commented.
“My thoughts exactly,” another replied. “Truly iconic,” yet another fan said.
One person pointed to one of Collins’ other masterpieces and said, “Her first movie should be Tarzan 😍.”
Love for Phil aside, fans loved seeing the actress in her newest role. “I never thought there could be SO MUCH tenderness in a video 🥹🥹🥹 your eyes when you look at her says it all, you look so happy, Lily!” one person said.

At the end of January, Collins revealed that she and her husband Charlie McDowell quietly welcomed a baby girl.
“Welcome to the center of our world Tove Jane McDowell,” they wrote. “Words will never express our endless gratitude for our incredible surrogate and everyone who helped us along the way. We love you to the moon and back again …”
After dealing with all the internet trolls who judged their path to parenthood, the couple seems to be living in newborn bliss.
Earlier this month, Collins shared an ultra-sweet photo cradling little Tove, who is wearing the most precious floral beanie. “Mom mode …” she captioned the post.
McDowell was quick to hop into the comments. “Best mom there is ❤️,” the first-time dad wrote. So yes, our heartstrings are pulled every time this family hops on social media.
