Late last year, it was announced that Squishmallows cereal would be hitting stores soon. As big Squishmallows fans ourselves, we were both surprised and excited to see what exactly that would look like. Unfortunately, we were not able to get our hands on a box when they first released in jumbo-size versions at Costco. But thankfully, the time has finally come and you can now purchase your box of Squishmallows cereal at Target.
The Squishmallows cereal is actually a collab between Kellogg’s and Squishmallows. Because of that, you’re guaranteed to find the same great taste and level of quality as the cereals you know and love like Froot Loops, Frosted Flakes, Frosted Mini Wheats, and Rice Krispies. The new Squishmallows cereal features whole grain-rich cereal with tasty mini marshmallows shaped like fan-fave, Cam the Cat. If you’re thinking, that sounds very similar to another delicious cereal you may already have in your pantry, you’d be correct (other shoppers have mentioned it too!). But we’re talking Squishmallows here, so it’s immediately a must-get for fans, regardless of age.
These are priced at $5 a box, which is on par with how much a box of cereal is nowadays. When these were first announced late last year and weren’t widely available just yet, resellers were selling these for double, and even triple the price. So, definitely keep that in mind if you’re debating whether you want to try these or not.
Kellogg’s Squishmallows Cereal
Although the Squishmallows cereal just hit Target’s shelves recently, it’s already getting a ton of love from shoppers. “So good!” wrote one reviewer. “I prefer this over Lucky Charms. Tastes so marshmallowy and good.” Better than Lucky Charms? We’ll have to see for ourselves!
Another shopper echoed their comments writing, “Tasted so good especially the marshmallows! I saw cat shapes and had to buy!” Meanwhile, this Walmart shopper said, “The marshmallows were delicious and was heart-approved by toddlers.”
Finally, we’ll let this rave review speak for itself. “Oh boy was I excited to see the Squishmallow cereal on Target shelves! It’s a big box (family size), has fun games on the back to play, and the price is on point at under $5. The cereal, without milk, is delicious. Add milk and it levels up even more! The cereal concept is a lot like another cereal (LC), except sweeter. The pastel marshmallows are Cam the Cat-shaped and the round shapes are marshmallow flavored! Not overwhelming sweet either … My 7-year-old loves the cereal and even mom here enjoys it! Way to go Kelloggs and Squishmallows on the collab! This is a keeper cereal to stay around for a long time.”
As of right now, we don’t know exactly how long the Kellogg’s Squishmallows cereal be around. So, be sure to stock up today.
