Keke Palmer’s Son Leodis Had a Special Celebrity Visitor for His Second Birthday

Keke Palmer‘s not-so-little munchkin just turned 2 years old and our minds are reeling. Wasn’t it just yesterday that she announced her pregnancy during her Saturday Night Live monologue? Palmer’s son Leodis “Leo” — who she shares with ex Darius Jackson — just had an epic birthday party to celebrate entering his hopefully-not-terrible twos.

“I had the best birthday ever!!” Leo captioned his Instagram post (read: a post on an account his mom manages for him). “It started off with my mommy braiding my hair. … After that I took a nap before my big party!!”

And “big party” is putting it lightly. There were ball pits and bouncy houses and go-karts (oh my!). Even more exciting, was the fact that the toddler’s favorite celebrity made an appearance.

“[Mommy] even got Blippi to stop by, he’s my Jay Z hahahaha,” the caption continued. ” … I am a very very GRATEFUL kid.”

Yes! The Blippi. AKA one of kids’ most beloved TV characters. (And apparently Leo’s version of Jay-Z.) In one outrageously wholesome candid, Leo is caught mid-jump on the bouncy castle with the biggest smile on his face while Blippi bounces by his side. Plus, there’s a precious picture of the toddler and Blippi looking at a go-kart in wonder.

Palmer also shared a sweet tribute to her son on her own Instagram account.

“My life can and will never be the same,” the actress wrote. “You have made me who I will forever be, a MOTHA.”

The carousel included an adorable collection of silly photos of the MOTHA-son duo, videos of her doing his hair, snapshots of them napping together, and priceless throwbacks of itty bitty newborn Leo. Best of all, is the hilarious video of Palmer kissing and nuzzling her infant’s deliciously chunky cheeks, much to his delight! He can’t help but squeal and laugh.

“Leodis from the moment you were in my stomach I knew you were a strong little boy,” Palmer continued. “I could just feel it! Even though you are no longer in my stomach you are in fact my greatest strength.”

She’s not sure if that continued strength is because of telepathy, but Palmer knows her son has taught her she can do anything. “As long as you are watching I promise I won’t let you down,” she said.

And, honestly, is letting him down even possible now that she secured a Blippi appearance?!
