‘Calm & Positive’ Meghan Markle Has Chosen a Doula

Royal uterus watchers are getting their metaphorical mesh maternity panties in a merry twist with the exciting news that Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (formerly known as Meghan Markle of Suits) has been working with a doula. In other words? Shit’s getting real, people.

The unnamed doula has been visiting Meghan regularly at the Sussexes’ homes in Oxfordshire and at Kensington Palace, according to a source who spoke with Us Weekly.

We’re not surprised that yoga-loving Meghan would hire a doula to assist her during the baby’s delivery. “Meghan is focused on calm and positive energy around the birth — she’s a big believer in that,” the source told the magazine.

The insider also told Us that Prince Harry is bending over backward (in an elegant, royal way, of course) to ensure his wife is feeling “comfortable and happy” during her pregnancy.

It seems to be working despite the stress of renovating their new home, Frogmore Cottage, at breakneck pace to have it ready for Meghan’s spring due date.

The same source said that the Sussexes’ planned aesthetic for their new home is “city meets country — lots of muted tones, plush accents and unique pieces from around the world.” That includes furniture and artwork that belongs — technically — to the Royal Collection. It’s not too shabby, this royal decorating thing and the corresponding decor-lending library.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were all smiles on Friday’s visit to Bristol, where they met with some seriously adorable children from the local Abbey Wood Nursery School, all bundled up against the deep freeze to say hello to Meghan and Harry.

Harry and Meghan shook hands with the little ones, remarking on the cold weather and laughing with the kids before venturing inside the Bristol Old Vic.

Soon they will be over-bundling their very own bundle of joy at the first sign of a spring draft. We’re thinking it’s going to be pretty darn cute to watch.
