Jason Aldean’s Toddler Has the Cutest Reaction to Meeting His Baby Sister

Country star Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany Kerr Aldean, shared a sweet video of their 14-month-old son, Memphis Aldean, meeting his baby sister Navy Rome, for the first time on Tuesday.

In the clip, posted on Kerr Aldean’s Instagram, Aldean, who is holding Memphis, encourages the toddler to kiss their newest family member. “See Navy? Give her sugar,” the singer says. “Give sissy some sugar.” Memphis came dressed for the occasion in a “Big Brother” shirt.

Aldean and Kerr Aldean welcomed their second child together on Monday. “So excited to watch what life has in store this little princess,” the proud dad wrote on Instagram that day. (Aldean also has two older daughters, Kendyl, 11, and Keeley, 15, from his previous marriage to Jessica Ussery.)

It was important for Aldean to give Navy and Memphis some unexpected names. “Having a name like Jason, it doesn’t get much more common, you know what I mean?” Aldean explained in January. “I wanted them to have something a little cooler but not crazy, and I felt like both their names are different. I don’t know anybody else with those names.”

Though Aldean and Kerr Aldean have their hands full, they are embracing the chaos.

“I’m ready to have two under the age of a year and a half, so it’s exciting,” Aldean told reporters in September. “We’re excited to have them close together in age. I think it’s going to be fun and hopefully, they’ll grow up really close and have a built-in best friend. That’s kind of what we’re hoping for.”

The couple, who tied the knot in 2015, openly struggled with infertility and turned to IVF to conceive both Memphis and Navy.

“After having our son, we knew we wanted to have two kids,” Aldean told People. “I have my two older daughters already, so after Memphis was born we knew we wanted to have another one pretty quick — to go ahead and knock it out and have one that was a little closer in age to him.”

Come May, the family will be hitting the road for Aldean’s 30-date “Ride All Night” tour. The bus is already to roll with two cribs!
