If you’re in the market for a pregnancy app, chances are you’re expecting, and while you may be excited, you may also be terrified. From baby names and gear to concerns about labor and delivery, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. The good news is you are not alone. There are hundreds of websites and apps designed to inform you, educate you and help you track your food, appointments and weight. Most also include growth charts and kick and contraction counters. But if you are looking for something different, check out these lesser-known apps.
With creative concepts and cute, quirky interfaces, these pregnancy apps will make your 9+ month pregnancy journey go by with ease.
Ovia
Arguably the most popular app on this list, Ovia is one of our favorites — and for good reason. This customizable app allows you to enter your baby’s name, sex and due date and receive personalized information. It helps you connect with other moms and allows you to keep track of various pregnancy milestones. But the real reason we love Ovia? Its “Parisian bakery” growth chart. This setting allows you to track your baby’s size, from eclair and croissant all the way up to baguette.

Wee Mail 2.0
Are you curious what your little one is thinking? Well, Wee Mail’s got you covered. This app will send you daily messages “from the womb,” and while many notes are informative, some are just downright hilarious. Case in point: We once received a “right now, I’m so tiny I could fit inside a drug mule’s stomach condom,” message. Followed by “aren’t I adorable?” And yes, wee one. Yes you are.

Baby Pool
If you’re looking for an interactive experience, check out Baby Pool. This hilarious app allows you, your friends and your family to place bets on your pregnancy — sort of like fantasy football but for your unborn bean. The bad news is this app is only available for Apple products; however, if you don’t have an iPhone, don’t worry: BabyBookie offers a similar, web-based experience.

Who’s Your Daddy
While this app is aimed at first-time dads, moms and seasoned parents will enjoy its design. Why? Because Who’s Your Daddy mixes the usual pregnancy-tracking tools — weekly updates, a development timeline, a hospital bag checklist, and a contraction counter — with dad humor. Plus, the app includes helpful information and insights into pregnancy so non-birthers can better understand and support their partner.

Hello Belly
Like Who’s Your Daddy, Hello Belly offers many “standard” tracking features, i.e. a due date calculator and week-by-week “what to expect when you’re expecting” guide. But the best part of Hello Belly is its adorable, entertaining and easy-to-read content. Well, that and the app’s 3D model, which gives you a lifelike glimpse into your little one’s development. A must-have for parents looking for practical pregnancy tips and tricks.

Baby Sizer
Okay, okay: We get it. This is not an app, but we love Baby Sizer and feel it deserves an extra-special nod because — like Ovia’s bread tracker — it allows you to measureyour baby’s growth in cute, kitschy and quirky ways. Theme options include geeky, manly, cravings and facts.Plus, any tracker that compares your unborn child to a golden Snitch is a solid choice, at least in our book.
