There are lots of exciting things happening at one of the most trusted kids’ clothing brands, Carter’s! In May, the company announced its partnership with a brand new CMO — that’s “Chief Mom Officer” — celebrity mom of 3, Hilary Duff. Her exclusive capsule collection for fall and winter, Hilary Duff x Carter’s, just released, and it’s so ridiculously cute we want the pieces in adult sizes. Which makes sense, because Duff herself is always on-trend. “Honestly, it looks like all stuff that I would wear, all shrunken down in size,” she said.
Duff’s role is unprecedented at Carter’s; this is the first time the brand has collaborated with a celebrity mom to bring both her parenting expertise and keen eye for style to their design table.
“At Carter’s, we understand what it means to be a parent, better than any other brand, and nobody embodies this spirit more than Hilary Duff,” said Jeff Jenkins, Executive Vice President of Global Marketing at Carter’s, in a press release. “Not only is Hilary talented but she’s also incredibly relatable, as a mom of three who openly shares her parenting journey with her community.”
In designing her collection, Duff made sure to choose fabrics and styles that are not only trendy, but kid-friendly, too. “I have three children who don’t want hard pants or itchy sweaters,” she said. (Honestly? Same.) And because Carter’s is known for how easy it makes choosing an outfit and getting kids dressed, the collaboration was a natural fit for Duff, who wanted to simplify the process for moms like her who are “in the throes of motherhood.”
