Brad Pitt Has Reportedly Repaired His Relationship With All of His Children Except One Who Doesn’t Want to Reconnect

Following a tumultuous seven-year divorce and custody battle with Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt has reportedly managed to repair the rifts between himself and five of his children — but one is still unwilling to reconnect.

According to a source who recently spoke with InTouch Weekly, the iconic movie star has invested a lot of time and effort in personal growth following his split from Jolie. “He’s turned a corner in what he wants and is living a whole new life,” the insider said, adding, “He’s finally putting his well-being and his family first.”

As for his kids, Pitt spends the most time with daughters Shiloh, 17, and Vivian, 15, as well as Vivian’s twin brother Knox. The three teens maintain regular contact with their dad, with the source divulging, “He’s on good terms with them.” They added, “He lost a lot of precious time with them during the custody battle, and he’s determined not to miss any more.”

While the Fight Club actor is also reportedly on speaking terms with Pax, 19, and Zahara, 18, his eldest son Maddox is not interested in mending their relationship. The 22-year-old was allegedly directly involved in the 2016 private jet fight that ended Pitt and Jolie’s marriage, and the impact of the reportedly violent conflict is implied to be the reason Maddox isn’t interested in re-establishing a connection with Pitt.

As for the entertainment multi-hyphenate, the source shared, “He acknowledged his drinking was a problem, and he’s truly sorry for his part in the split. He loves Maddox dearly, and even though they’re still estranged, Brad will always hold out hope for reconciliation.”

While we always hope to see families work through trauma to achieve a healthier bond, we completely understand why Maddox might be averse to allowing Pitt back into his life. Maintaining personal boundaries is incredibly important, especially when trust has been breached before.
