It’s been nearly four years since Kobe Bryant and one of his daughters Gianna Bryant tragically passed away from a helicopter crash. Mama Vanessa Bryant and her daughters Natalia Bryant, Bianka Bryant, and Capri Bryant have carried on their legacy in so many touching ways, and in a rare, recent interview with Elle, Natalia discussed how she honors her father every day.
In the rare interview with Elle, she talked about her ongoing “mamba mentality.” This type of mentality was inspired by her father’s resilience and his iconic nickname, both of which he discussed in his 2018 memoir The Mamba Mentality: How I Play.
“Mamba mentality is about constantly trying to be the best version of yourself,” she said. “It’s putting your best foot forward at all times regardless of all the noise. I want to make sure that mentality stays intact, because it can be so easy to give up on yourself when things get tough. You have to remind yourself that with positivity and resilience you can do anything.”
In the same interview, she talked about how her younger sisters and her mom “are amazing.” She said, “My family is my rock. My mom and my sisters are amazing, and I can always lean on them for support. I also have amazing friends and mentors that I love who I know I can count on.”
For those who don’t know, Vanessa and Kobe welcomed four beautiful daughters named Natalia, 20, Gianna, 13, Bianka, 6, and Capri, 3.
These stars have vulnerably shared their experiences with grieving the loss of a child.
