Mark Zuckerberg Uses AI to Braid His Daughter’s Hair, Because of Course He Does

Mark Zuckerberg did the most Mark Zuckerberg thing possible yesterday. The co-founder of Facebook (AKA Meta) used his Ray-Bans smart glasses powered by Meta’s AI to help him braid his daughter’s hair.

Yes.

That’s right.

The tech mogul posted a video on Instagram of himself wearing the glasses in one of his daughter’s bedrooms. He said, “Hey Meta, how do I make a braid?”

The glasses responded by saying, “To make a braid, brush the hair to remove tangles. Separate the hair into three equal sections and begin a basic braid by crossing the right section over the middle followed by the left section over the middle and so on.”

Zuckerberg followed the directions, ultimately admitting that he’s “not the most experienced braider” but that he thinks “we can get this done.”

It’s not totally clear which of Zuckerberg’s older daughters is in the video. He shares three girls with his wife Dr. Priscilla Chan: Maxima, 8, August, 6, and baby Aurelia.

Once he finishes, he tells Meta to send a photo to Priscilla on WhatsApp.

“Finally learned to braid. Thanks, Meta AI” he captioned the video, which had “learn a new skill every day” written over it.

To all the girl dads out there, you know have a pretty cool $300+ way to learn how to do your daughters’ hair. Meta’s latest smart glasses — the Meta Wayfair and Meta Headliner — can record audio and video and are the first to include Meta AI which can answer questions, send photos, or live stream your view on Facebook and Instagram.

Beyond braiding their hair, Zuckerberg really is upping his girl dad game. In July, he took his wife and daughters to a Taylor Swift Eras Tour concert. And … how do we say this diplomatically? While plenty of people aren’t his biggest fan, it was actually a heartwarming outing to see. Maybe he can use Meta AI to learn how to make friendship bracelets next!

These celebrity parents have gotten honest about their rules when it comes to technology.
