Insiders Reveal Meghan Markle & Prince Harry’s Parenting Style Is All About Being This to One Another

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry value equality, communication, and a united front in their relationship, and those important factors haven’t changed since they welcomed two children. In fact, their values seem to have strengthened even further following the arrival of Prince Archie in 2019 and Princess Lilibet in 2021, and a source close to the couple agrees.

On Wednesday, a friend of the Sussexes told People the duo is “loving life as parents of two.” They added, “Meghan is the best mom, and Harry is always on the floor playing with the kids. They are still such a team.”

Meghan and Harry have navigated their entire relationship as a team, so it’s no surprise that their teammate dynamic extends to parenting their two children. And what’s even better is Archie and Lilibet are growing up in a healthy environment with two people who are showing them how to nurture strong relationships and be good people.

In 2022, the Suits alum elucidated the effort that goes into raising caring, compassionate children who will grow into fair and just adults. “It is so much work to be a mom when you are just trying to be a conscious parent to raise good, kind human beings,” Meghan said during an episode of her Archetypes podcast.

Though it is an enormous responsibility, we have no doubt that the Sussexes are two of the very best parents out there. Their love for their own children, as well as the world’s youth, is the driving force behind their philanthropic efforts, including their most recent event.

On World Mental Health Day earlier this month, Meghan and Harry hosted The Archewell Foundation Parents’ Summit: Mental Wellness in the Digital Age alongside Carson Daly. The purpose of the event was to bring together families who have suffered the loss of a child due to cyberbullying, as well as to share ideas for building a safer digital world.

“I feel fortunate that our children are quite young, so this isn’t in our immediate future, but I also feel frightened by how it’s continuing to change and this will be in front of us,” Meghan said of the ever-increasing use of cyber technology.

Harry added, “I think for us, with kids growing up in a digital age, the priority is to turn pain into purpose and provide as much support as well as a spotlight and a platform for parents.”
