Pregnant Kourtney Kardashian Was Notably Absent from Kim’s Birthday Party — But Not Because of Their Famous Feud

Sisters fight more than anyone, but at the end of the day, they always have each other’s backs. Kourtney Kardashian and Kim Kardashian seem to have gotten over their infamous feud that recently aired during the latest Kardashians premiere, and Kim’s explanation for why Kourtney missed her 43rd birthday party hints at their mended relationship.

The SKIMS founder shared several photos of her birthday party on her Instagram Stories on Sunday, revealing that her pregnant sister couldn’t make it because she was at home on bed rest.

“So blessed to have hit the jackpot of friends! I couldn’t have ever dreamed I would be so lucky to call these girls my friends ✨,” she wrote, per Us Weekly. “Thank you for all the birthday love ❤️ and Kourt, I’m jumping in bed with you next week for our bed rest picnic.”

Aww! She’s not mad about Kourtney skipping her party and she’s planning on spending some one-on-one sister time with her? The feud truly is over!

The Lemme founder is currently pregnant with her fourth baby and first with husband Travis Barker. She wrote a tribute to her younger sister on her Instagram Stories, cheekily referring to their fights.

“Happy happy birthday to my first sister,” Kourtney wrote on Oct. 21, per Us Weekly. “Thank you for all those years of bossing you around and you actually listening to all of my crazy ideas.” She added, “People think the fights they’ve seen on TV are bad. If only they got to witness the hair-pulling, nail-digging ones from early high school, the joys of sisterhood.”

“I love you deeply forever and always. May God bless this year with love and happiness and abundant joy,” she added.

The two have famously butted heads many times on The Kardashians, with Kim accusing Kourtney of stealing her “wedding country” and Kourtney accusing Kim of making her wedding to Barker all about her business deal. Not to mention the trash-talking group chat, and Kourtney calling Kim “a f—ing witch.” (Hey, at least Kourt didn’t have her baby on Kim’s actual birthday!)

Neither Kourtney nor Kim gave more details about the Poosh founder’s apparent bed rest — although the 44-year-old has opened up about the restrictions she has to follow this pregnancy.

“That word [‘geriatric’] is just so wild,” she told Vogueearlier this month about her geriatric pregnancy. “But my doctors are so cautious and I’ve had so many more restrictions than my other pregnancies.”

These restrictions included “no working out, no flying on airplanes, no sex” during the first trimester. “The second trimester, I could do anything,” she continued, adding, “Now, I am back to all the restrictions.”

This likely has something to do with the “urgent fetal surgery” she had back in September. Afterward, Kourtney wrote on Instagram, “As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant.”

It seems that in the spirit of support for Kim’s birthday and Kourtney’s health challenges, these sisters have put aside their differences. What an inspiration!

These wild celebrity birth stories are dramatic, hilarious, and utterly eccentric.
