Paris Hilton Shares Emotional Video of Son Phoenix’s Birth Amid ‘Cruel & Hateful’ Comments About His Appearance

Paris Hilton is focusing on the positive right now — she’s sliving, duh! — and haters can just log off. The Simple Life alum (whose most recent famous phrase is a combination of “slaying” and “living” that is all about empowerment) shared an emotional video of her baby’s birth after receiving “cruel and hateful” comments about his appearance. Yes, people were that mean about a baby!

In a trailer for season 2 of her reality series, Paris in Love, premiering on Peacock Nov. 30, you can see the moment Hilton meets Baby Phoenix, who was born via surrogate in Jan. 2023. In the video, she and husband Carter Reum wash their hands as they wait nervously in a hospital room to meet their little one. At one point, she gets to do skin-to-skin with her baby in the hospital, and he is so cuddly and cute! (See the video HERE.)

“He’s so beautiful, so perfect, my life is finally complete,” she says in the trailer. “I’m obsessed!”

Fans filled the comments section with love. “Phoenix looks soooooo little 😍 cannot believe how big he is getting ❤️ he is a mini you!” one person wrote.

“I think this is the most important moment in your life!! Your little angel is so lucky to have u sis ❤️,” another said.

These sweet encouragements were a marked difference from a post she made last week. The Paris: The Memoir author shared several photos of her “precious angel baby Phoenix” during his first trip to New York City with his mom. People left many rude comments about his appearance. Hilton clapped back at the haters in a statement on her Instagram Story yesterday.

“Living life in the spotlight, comments are inevitable, but targeting my child, or anyone else’s for that matter, is unacceptable,” she wrote. “This hurts my heart more deeply than words can describe. 💔”

In her life and work, Hilton has “worked hard to cultivate an environment that is all about love, respect, and acceptance,” and she rightly expects that in turn from her fans and everyone else. She also talked about the double standard that moms face.

“If I don’t post my baby, people assume I’m not a great mother and if I do post him, there are some people who are cruel and hateful😥,” she said. “I’m a proud working mom and my baby is perfectly healthy, adorable and angelic. 👼🏼”

Hilton went on to say that she’s dreamed of being a mom “for as long as I can remember.” She added, “Phoenix is my world and has been the biggest blessing of my life. Every day with him is a reminder of what truly matters. It’s hard to fathom that there are people in the world who would target such innocence. 🥺I hope that people can treat one another with more kindness and empathy. 💙🙏”
