While Jeannie Mai is navigating this new era in her life, she’s making sure her daughter Monaco is feeling all the love in the world (and she’s not alone)! With Halloween right around the corner, Mai and her side of the family have decided to go all out in creating the perfect family costume that gave Monaco so much joy!
On Oct 28, the America’s Test Kitchen: The Next Generation host shared a truly heartwarming video of her Halloween festivities. She shared the video to her Instagram with the caption reading, “The most important thing in my world is family 🤍”
We start the video by seeing and hearing Monaco sing the Baby Shark Song with the caption in the video reading, “Monaco has been obsessed with Baby Shark for the last year… so we decided to surprise her this Halloween!”
We then see Monaco and a Baby Shark Halloween costume, and her reaction to seeing herself in the mirror is nothing short of pure joy. Next, we see that her uncle and aunt dressed up as sharks too, to make her happy! Along with her grandpa!
They’re all dancing and singing to the song, with Monaco smiling from ear to ear. Then finally, we see Mai being the “Mommy Shark” and Monaco’s face is priceless as she tackle-hugs her mom!
They then go to the pumpkin patch together and have a shark-themed photoshoot, and Monaco looks like she’s on top of the world!
In late 2021, she confirmed her pregnancy with Jeezy on an episode of The Real. Then fast forward to Jan. 2022, the pair welcomed daughter Monaco Mai-Jenkins, 1, into the world.
During a Nov 2022 interview with PEOPLE, Mai talked about her “village” that has helped her throughout raising her daughter. She said, “I used to be, well, I still am a boss, I can get it done by myself, but I ain’t that bossy by myself as a mom, I need help.”
She added, “I need my mom giving me advice, I need all the other moms around this area to tell me what you do with a 10-month-old. Every other week there’s some new thing that comes up with her that I got to ask and check about and I call, I listen to my friends and my pediatrician before I listen to the internet or Google. So, I’ve learned that you really need that village.”
These celebrity shared the most important life lessons they learned from their moms.
