Meg Ryan Asks Herself These 3 Simple Questions When Parenting Her Two Kids

While both of Meg Ryan’s kids are grown up and out of the house, she still asks herself some simple questions about ensuring their happiness. Parenting isn’t easy, even when your kids are adults, but Ryan considers herself oh-so lucky to have such wonderful kiddos!

In a super-rare interview with People, the When Harry Met Sally icon talked about how she approached parenting her children Jack, 31, and Daisy True, 18. She asks herself: “Are they inspired? Are they happy? Are they safe?”

We’re taking notes, because those questions are such a wonderful reminder to ensure our kids are happy, healthy, safe, and inspired!

“I have two of the greatest kids. They’re just a blast. It is just a true joy. It is a joy to me to know both of them,” Ryan gushed on in the super-rare interview. “I feel like both of them make the world a little better, and I just feel so proud of them . . . I’m so proud of both.”

As many fans know, Ryan has two children in total. She welcomed a son named Jack Quaid in April 1992 with her ex-husband Dennis Quaid, and later, she adopted a girl named Daisy True in early 2006, who was born in 2004.

Quaid has been acting for years now like his superstar parents, and the You’ve Got Mailstar acknowledged in the interview that she’s so “proud of how sensible he is, how ethical he is, how fun he is.”

And Daisy is attending college after she and Ryan moved to New York City. (Ryan said she “visit probably more than I should,” which is so sweet!)
