Gold Medalist Tara Lipinski Dressed Up Her Daughter in This Iconic Look from Her Figure Skating Days

Not only is Tara Lipinski a gold medal figure skater, but she’s already a gold medal mama to her daughter Georgie Winter! Less than a week after the Triumph on Ice author shared the big news about welcoming her and Todd Kapostasy’s daughter, they shared their daughter’s adorably showstopping Halloween costume!

On Nov 1, Lipinski shared a series of photos of Georgie’s Halloween costume: which was a recreation of her mother’s blue costume from the 1998 Olympics. She shared the photos with the caption reading, “Georgie’s 1st Halloween! ⛸️❄️ @bradgriffies made a costume that will be hard to match. Thank you!!!! Does anyone recognize it?!”

She added, “@toddkap commentated Gigi’s performance and I of course gave her an old school perfect 6.0 score of course! Brad – again thank you! It’s just too much. Throughout the photos, we see Georgie looking like a little angel in this sparkling blue leotard costume inspired by her mom’s iconic look, and yes, Georgeis can’t stop smiling in these photos!

We also get photos of Lipinski adorably gave her daughter a perfect score, referring to how they tally votes in figure skating, along with the final photo of Georgie’s second costume: her in a custom look inspired by Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz.

He shared the photos with the caption reading, “Forgive us… a couple weeks in so we had to do it. Georgie Winter’s first Halloween. No pressure Gigi 😂 @taralipinski.”

Lipinski married Kapostasy back in 2017 after meeting back in 2015. After a 5-year-long infertility journey, Lipinski happily announced to Today that they welcomed a daughter via surrogate.

“I have really incredible news to share!” the figure skater said on TODAY. “[My husband] Todd and I have a baby girl, Georgie Winter, that arrived into our arms by the most beautiful surrogate.” (She also told fans that they’ll be calling her “Gigi,” and that her middle name “Winter” is a nod to her showstopping figure skating career.)
